Funded! Help build Dashboard for Democracy with online ads targeting SF voters on nytimes.com
About This Campaign
Democracy Dashboard is bringing awesome to democracy. Help us reach tens of thousands of the San Francisco voters to give them trusted sources to inform their choice for Mayor.
We need your help. We're building a great platform that lets people build and share social ballots. Check out a great example SF Mayor slate from yours truly, which allows anyone to compare endorsements and opinions from friends and groups that I trust. Why do we need a Dashboard for Democracy?
DemDash is people powered, not money powered. All those TV ads and slick mailers are expensive! As DemDash replaces them, the cost of campaigns will go down. When DemDash wins, voters win: campaigns that rely more on money will have a harder time getting elected, and campaigns that rely on people power will have an easier time.
What DemDash does well
- CONFIDENCE: DemDash gives voters much greater confidence in their ability to vote.
- AMPLIFY: DemDash lets you amplify your voice and the voice of groups you support.
- UNDERSTAND: With DemDash, you can start building narratives and understand your democracy over time.
- REPLACE TV ADS: You can start to move us away from campaigns reliance on stale TV ads and direct mail.
Why online ads before the SF Mayor election?
With a very high profile mayor's race coming up in San Francisco, it's the perfect laboratory to test how people use our platform so we can continue to make improvements in preparation for 2012. We're going to run very targeted banner ads like the draft one below to SF voters on sites like nytimes.com and other political blogs.
You have the power to help start building the next great stage of global democracy! Please contribute today!
